Fall Fair Season is Here

The leaves are turning and so is the season—fall fair time is here, friends. The **Matheson Fall Fair** runs **Sept. 3–5** at 387 Highway 11, and it's the perfect excuse to get out and soak up all that early autumn energy. There's nothing quite like a fall fair: the smell of fresh popcorn, the friendly faces, the little ones running around. It's what keeps us connected to each other out here. If you're looking for something local to do this weekend, head out and see what the fair has to offer. And while you're in the area, the **Mountjoy Farmers' Market** is open **Saturday, Sept. 5** from 9 a.m. to noon at 537 Pavilion Dr., running weekly right through to Thanksgiving. Fresh food, local folks—that's the good stuff. Also happening Sunday: **Timmins Rock** takes on the **Kirkland Lake Gold Miners** in pre-season NOJHL play at **2 p.m.** at McIntyre Arena, if you fancy a little hockey. Come on down, enjoy the season, and remember—fall's the time to gather.
