Local Player Heads to Team Canada's Under-17 World Challenge

Big news for hockey fans in South Porcupine: one of our own has been selected for Team Canada's 2027 Under-17 World Challenge. The player made the cut alongside 43 other talented young athletes for the tournament, set to run **November 1–7 in Oakville**. This is the kind of honour that reminds us what hard work and dedication look like. Whether you know the player personally or just caught them on the ice at our rink, this is a moment worth celebrating—they're bringing Porcupine pride to the national stage. Mark your calendars if you'd like to follow along. It's a great reminder that great things can start right here at home.
